accident (warning, graphic pictures to follow)

Hello all, I'm uploading these pictures mostly for the family members who are away, so sorry if it gets too personal and graphic. I don't have a lot of time--I'm doing this between drying my hair, doing laundy, making phone calls and packing bags. Basically, we were in a pretty bad car accident Friday night on our way up to St. George UT--a woman lost control of her vehicle coming towards us and basically hit us as she rolled over. All three of my kids were air-evaced out, Cameron, Ethan, and Danny to St. Joe's and Sean and I to Maricopa Medical Center (not room for all of us at St. Joes).

Sean had stomach pain but we think it's just from the seatbelt. Ethan got 6 stitches which he immediately pulled out--the doctors dermi-bonded the wound and wrapped his head. They've both been released and are at Grandma Faulkner's right now. Cameron was the worst off--had a pretty bad blow to the face (still not sure what??) and broke his occipital (sp?) bone which is the bone around your eye. He'll have surgery Monday night to repair what they can and put in a metal plate to keep the shape there. Doctors say there will be no scarring or lasting negative effects. We pray so! The pictures of Cameron show the earliest point to the most recent, so you can see how much better he already looks.

We're so grateful for all the calls, emails, visits, and for those who have offered to help, watch the kids, bring in meals, etc. We're just in disbelief that this has happened (especially since it's such a deja vu of Easter 2001) but we're so grateful it wasn't worse--we were all seatbelted and the other driver did have insurance. No word on what caused her accident yet. And yes, she got air-evaced too, to St. Joe's.

The following are some pictures--sorry for the blood and gore. Love you all!

Amie, you and all your boys are in my prayers. Please let me know if you need anything. DJ works nights this week so he is home during the day and I'm home in the evening. I'll gorcrey shop, do laundry or just bring over ice cream in the middle of the night. Call me anytime even 2am. I've got some good reading material too. (I went to the yard sale at Keepsake on Saturday and spilled the beans, in case you were wondering.) Anytime you need help! I can even come and keep you company at the hospital if you need.
