late night layouts at the lowry's

Well lads and lassies (yeah right, like any guys read my blog--and wouldn't that be weird if they did?) I just had the most amazing weekend. 'Course you won't see much evidence of the fact because I had no digital camera to document it. However, being as it was a SCRAPBOOKING RETREAT, there was more than one camera present. And I don't mean 'camera present' as in someone gave me a camera as a present--although wouldn't that be so cool if I did? Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll be getting copies from many of the Loverly Ladies in attendance so hopefully I can post some awesome pics of this awesome retreat up in the awesome pines of Prescott at the awesome cabin/home/honest-to-goodness-resort of the awesome Lowry's.

So I'll post more on that later when I hopefully have lots of pics to show you. I did do 10 layouts (12 pages) that I'm pretty pleased with.

One of the best parts about it was reuniting with Danny's cousin Susie whom I just adore and honestly, everyone else adored her too! In fact, they pretty much would take her over me any day *grin* and I don't blame them! I was able to give her the layouts I did for her a couple of weeks ago and she seemed to really like them. Now that she's seen them I can finally post them here. Her work is pretty darn awesome too, so I hope she showcases her own layouts on her website. She was a workhorse, doing 23 layouts this weekend! Can you believe that for every layout, she makes 4 copies!? And I don't mean run-in-thru-the-copy-machine copies. She makes literally 5 of every layout, one for her and each of her girls, and sometimes Grandma as well. WOW. That's dedication. Anyway, here are the layouts; I left spaces for her to do her own journaling.

And now that my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law are married and have opened their presents, I can post this layout that I gave them as a wedding present. I framed it.

Now Amieanne, how could you think we would choose Susie over you? She IS pretty amazing though ;) I kept thinking of a story by Erma Bombeck called "These Moms Share Special Gifts" all weekend as Susie shared her story about Brynlyn. I'll have to send it to you. I'm so excited that you all had a good time at my parents house. It's hard to explain how amazing they are. You just have to experience them. We will have to do it again sometime. SOON!
