really quick...

Things have been busy around here, especially since basketball season started up again. With two practices a week and then two games on Saturday (plus a primary activity in which ALL THREE of my kids now are a part, and a birthday party), our weekends are a blur.

I did not make the design team over at My Scrapbook Nook, but no worries--I wasn't expecting to and I'm just happy that I made it to the top 20. That was a bit of a pip! {where did that come from? I think I've been talking to too many Europeans online!} Anyway, I'm thrilled for the gals that made it and am excited to see what they pump out this next 6 months.

Tonight we said goodbye to Alan for two years, and danggit, just realized I didn't take one picture. I so could have done a before/after layout! Anyway, he is leaving tomorrow morning to start his LDS mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Santiago, Chile! Yay Alan! He was 9 years old when Danny and I got married...so crazy how fast time flies.

My MIL and SIL are driving him up to Salt Lake to the Missionary Training Center where he'll learn the language, rules, teaching tactics, and so much more. We in turn get my nephew Jared for the week, so that's gonna be fun! So far, he's been perfect, *wink*. The kids are already having fun 'taking care' of him.

I challenged myself to use a bunch of my red scraps today to make cards. I've got 10 done, so tomorrow when I'm finished I'll post all my creations. It's late now and I just need to wrap things up and get to bed.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me and supported me with this DT call! Your words and well wishes were very sweet! I'll try again next time! =)

There will be a next time! Wow, I still can't believe Alan is going on a mission. He was so little when I used to spend the night at Becky's house. Ah, memories! Like when the hampsters kept getting loose! Pinky and The Brain!

Your weekends are crazy! I'll tell Sophie to cut it out and behave herself to give you a break during the week :)
