i could stare at those abs all night (a short review of new moon)

So today is the big day we've been waiting for close to a year; New Moon came out in theatres at 12am.

People starting lining up at 9.

A.M.

Yes, 9 in the morning my friends.

I was leaving school at 1:00p yesterday afternoon when my husband texted me People are already in line for the movie. I'm gonna go sit in line.

What a guy!

So I joined him and we worked crossword puzzles as we sat on camping chairs at about 30th in line. The theater management mentioned that they'd sold out all 2800 seats...and we were 30th. Awesome!

Kiowa Gordon was there (a member of the Wolf pack), though we didn't really participate in all the goings on surrounding him. Lots of screaming girls and a line for autographs that wrapped around the building. He and his entourage even went from one inner theatre to another to thank everyone for supporting the movie and to say goodnight. I didn't use my flash on him because I didn't want to be rude, but he was about 6 feet from us. :)

So after a little drunk drama from the elementary school teachers behind us (seriously, kindergarten and 2nd grade teachers, getting drunk on vodka-spiked sprites while in line?!) we made it to our seats with plenty of room and time to spare. After a little more drunk drama from some other mom-types in the room, our movie started at about 12:30.

Without giving too much away, I'll just say that I was very pleased. This movie holds very true to the plot--there's actually only one deviation I can think of, and it's so minor that it hardly counts.

Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) stole the show in every scene. He's seriously a gorgeous piece of work...and 17?!

The production was better, the acting was better, the action was better...all in all I'm very pleased!

The one thing I'm not so sure about--the new contacts the vampire actors wear--they're very golden and kind of distracting. I kept finding myself staring at their eyes during each of the vampire scenes. On the fence regarding if I like them or not.

Go see it! I think I'll take the hubby and go see it again today. :)

I can't wait, but I have to. My husband wants to see it with me, but wants to wait till all the commotion is down.

All I have to say is AMEN and TEAM JACOB! And oh my gosh, those abs. I feel like a dirty old woman, but OH MY GOSH, THOSE ABS.

Those contacts really bugged me too! That's all I could look at, and they didn't make anyone appear all that attractive.

But I thought it was good, much better than twilight, as far as the production and makeup and stuff.

fun to see you there, if only for a second! I did eventually find my group, after wandering around like a total dork for an hour by myself.

I decided I could skip the midnight show this time. I am going tomorrow & I'm excited. So glad many are saying it's better than Twilight.

OH, yes I was there too. I actually saw you loading chairs into your car. I was in a hurry so I couldn't stop to chat. The movie was great and Taylor was greater. Make a stay at home of lots of kids SCREAM like a little girl.
