gratitude days 5 and 6, legs and teachers

Friday was a whirlwind of business from Sean's overnight campout with the Boy Scouts to date night with my hubby, so we weren't able to fit in our 25 Days of Gratitude activity, but we caught up yesterday and did days 5 and 6.

On Friday, Day 5, we selected:

We wanted to do a family bike ride, but sadly, Ethan is experiencing his second (maybe third?) bike flat for the season.  Cam's also had one or two this year and same for Sean--we're having a really bad year bike-tire wise!  Time to go with the never-flats I'm afraid!

Anyway, we just substituted a good old-fashioned scooter-ride instead.  It's great to have legs that work and can get us around.  Not everyone is so lucky or nimble or energetic!

Then, yesterday's pick was this:

So, darn, we just had to make cookies!

Cookie dough is one of my favorite things ever.

Diet?  What diet?

IMG_0181 We promptly packaged them up, gave a couple away, and were each allowed one cookie to eat.  (though I admit, I probably had more than one cookie worth of dough!)

Cameron decided to give his to his school teacher, along with a thankyou note.

Ethan wanted to give his to his primary (church) teacher, so we went right over to her house and delivered them yesterday afternoon.

Sean, too, is going to give his to his school teacher.  Hopefully our awesome teachers know how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication.  We are thankful for teachers!
