in the cafeteria, a music video

We got a little bit too busy last night to do our Day 5 of Gratitude, but we'll make it up tonight.

In the meantime, it's been a really long while since I've posted one of my music videos.

I'll be honest, I lost confidence for a while.  Not sure why, but after dozens of music video covers, I suddenly felt no good.  My camera was bad, the audio and video were poor, and then of course, my camera died and I lost all video capabilities.  Not having it made me really miss being able to do it in the first place.

All this to say, I have a music video for you today.  But not just any video.  No.  This is an original piece that I wrote a couple of months ago--actually my first attempt at music and lyrics--so I'm pretty geeked out about it.

Now, foreword:  this is simple and silly and there is certainly nothing profound about either music or message, but I created it, so it's with no small amount of trepidation that I share it with the world.  If you hate it, please don't say so.  Ha.

This is also the piece that Sean learned by heart and is performing December 9th at his school talent show--he's playing and singing it, and I daresay he does just as well as I do singing it; better actually because it's written from the perspective of a teenage boy.  Not sure why my imagination came up with that one but it did.  I tweaked the words just a little bit to make it more fitting for an 11 yr old to sing, so when I film him doing it, it'll sound slightly different.

But here's the original.  Enjoy.
