gobble till ya wobble

Like many of you, Thanksgiving was a 4 day event over here.  We had family in town and much planned.  Here are some of my favorite shots from our Turkey Day.

IMG_0800 Though this table is pretty cute too.

Made it to Cabella's FOUR times and the Bass Pro Shop once.  Have I mentioned my brother-in-law is rather sporty?

 IMG_0804 IMG_0805 Kids made a fun train.

IMG_0807 IMG_0813 IMG_0818 These cousins had so much fun together--four boys from four different families.

IMG_0820 IMG_0821 IMG_0824 I started to feel a little better (from my cold) about half-way thru Friday.

IMG_0826 The missionaries gave a little spiritual thought that was very sweet.

IMG_0835She doesn't get too emotional about things, but she's a cutie.

IMG_0851 IMG_0853IMG_0860 Rousing games of Spoons and BS were crazy and loud and sooo fun!

gratitude day 24, books

I've totally lost track of what day we are on, but looking back on my November pictures folder (which is HUGE by the way, it has 37 folders in it and we're still not through the month yet!) I see we had the following thankful day I haven't documented yet:

We do love books around here! I'm happy to say that my kids love reading too--Ethan has gotten so very good at reading these past few months. It's amazing to see the changes as they happen in a first grader!

gratitude day 23, kitchen, and thanksgiving night with family

I didn't get a picture of it, but we were lucky enough to choose "We are Thankful for our Kitchen!  Make something yummy together!"  Well on Thanksgiving, that was easy to do. . . I was in the kitchen all day!  lol

We started with some yummies.

Then it was off to work.

Some of this.

Some of that.

And then a lot of  eating and enjoying.

IMG_0726 IMG_0727 IMG_0728 IMG_0729 IMG_0730 IMG_0731I felt pretty uuuugh all day, but I pushed through. (We packaged some of this up and took it to Dan for dinner--but he was fortunate enough to have eaten a huge Thanksgiving meal with the fire station he works with, so he ate well)

Then later, we went over to the inlaws where we had some cousins visiting and had some fun with them.

IMG_0765We played some fun games.

Bleh.

Hopefully the worst of it is over and I can enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Course I couldn't smell anything or taste anything, so I'm not sure if it was any good or not.  *eye roll*  Leave it to me to get sick on Thanksgiving weekend.
