miniature madness

Since my husband is currently working 24-hr shifts on Saturdays, lately we've been having our quality-weekend-time on Friday nights. Last night we decided to take the kids to miniature golf for the first time and it was quite an adventure! We had a $20 bonus buck card from Discover and this seemed like a great way to use our rewards.

We brought the mini stroller for Ethan and packed a bunch of treats and drinks and set off for 18 holes of goofy golf. As it was their first time, they didn't quite get it at first, but eventually they did. We had to let quicker teams pass us on occasion since we started out taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r at each hole, but that didn't last too long. After a few holes, the kids had learned that they could just cheat their way through each part of the course and push their ball in the hole, drag it in, or throw the other kids' golf balls into the rough!

Ethan lasted about half way through the course before demanding a ball and a club and eventually we took him out of the stroller. He probably had more fun than anyone! When we got to the final hole (the one where you don't get your ball back after sinking your shot) he was so ticked that we had to carry him away crying. "My ball! My ball!"
