and the diet is long gone

Oy, I ate practically everything in sight today, and I didn't even have a good reason. I was just craving sweets and ate them all day long. It makes me so mad at the end of the day. I need to have better willpower! I did have a good work out at aerobics this morning, but that doesn't seem to matter weight-wise.

I saw this special on 20/20 or Nightline or one of those shows a few weeks ago that proved that on certain people, their RNA or DNA or both are designed to hold onto and keep fat no matter what they eat and I think I have that. Now, that has nothing to do with the fact that I ate three 'Lil Debbie oatmeal creme cookies AND polished off a bag of chips (fat free at least) AND half a box of macaroni and cheese (yummmm that was so good; haven't had a good sized bowl of mac n' cheese in years) and snacked on Capt. Crunch cereal while I was watching "Survivor" and oh, I could go on and on....but I digress! This RNA/DNA thing, it really does seem to describe me and the fact that I can go off my diet and gain three pounds by the next day. My husband is just amazed by that--his weight stays pretty consistent week to week no matter what, maybe an ounce here or there, UGH! Disgusts me! Just not fair!

All right, I'm just trying to pass the buck. It was my fault. It was delicious too.

I think you just described Floyd and me! He can and does eat whatever he wants. I have to give him his own cabinet to keep stuff in so I don't see it - cheetos, doritos, twinkies, cupcakes - you name it, he has it. He eats his double cheeseburgers at the table with me while I eat my Lean Cuisine :( and stays thin no matter what.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've gained 7 pounds since school started. I don't even feel like I eat super much just snacking I guess. I do like the cold cereal too. I could live on the stuff. I went to the doctor and had blood tests done, hoping for some reason that I don't loose wieght easy, but there was no excuse to use. I need that will power thingy too.
