temple lights

I recently switched from regular Blogger to Beta Blogger and it's been such a headache! I think I finally have it to the way I want it. I'm not sure I see the benefits in switching... maybe someday I will. Anyway, this is the third or fourth time I've tried to post this segment without luck thus far, hopefully this will stick!

What I've been trying to share is that we went to the Mesa Temple grounds to enjoy the Christmas lights last night, one of my favorite things to do each holiday season. I took a lot of pictures, some with the flash, some without, and I've posted the better ones. I also posted several in the photo album, so be sure to check that out. Once I uploaded the pictures, I realized that Sean had a goofy face in just about every shot! Grr! It's too bad, because a couple of them could have been really great Christmas card photos, this first one included. I just loved the green and gold in the background. At the Visitor's Center, we enjoyed the short movie about the nativity, "Luke II", one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time. It always leaves me a bit choked up. Danny and I got engaged around Christmas season in 97 and during that time, every Sunday night we'd walk the temple grounds and enjoy the lights and watch "Luke II". It's a great memory that we're hoping our kids enjoy as well.

I can't wait. We plan on going on the 21st. I haven't been in years.
