is this season over yet?

Last night we had a baseball game. Out in the 100+ degree heat. This morning we had a T-ball game. Out in the 100+ degree heat. One left to go for Cameron and a few more for Sean. Oh my gosh! I'm sooooo ready for this season to be over! I'm just exhausted from it, mentally and physically. It's just so hard to keep the two lil' ones not playing entertained and cool and fed and hydrated. Oh well...let's just hope they're having a good time and that they'll appreciate it some day!

As if we didn't get enough sun, we decided to play in the kiddie pool this afternoon, so I layed out and got some sun for an hour or so while the boys played. My shoulders have been peeling the last few days--what is it that is so addictive and intoxicating about peeling sunburnt skin off? It's so flaky and yeechhh...but I can't stop picking at it. Lol! At least it doesn't hurt. Just fun to pick. Anyway, onward...

I did a couple of layouts today. Dear Hubby is working about 49 hours straight (give or take) so on these late nights when I'm all alone, instead of getting freaked out, I scrap. I'm getting a lot done! Hee hee! Anyway, this first one is about Sean's busted up eye. It was for a monochromatic challenge on KT of course. I made my own chipboard for the letters out of cardboard but man, it took forever. Not sure I'm willing to do that again. Speaking of the store, their web site has been down for over 24 hours and it's driving me crazy! I'm always on and off it during the day, chatting and getting ideas. I feel as if I've lost a good friend! Here's to hoping Steve at the store can get it fixed soon. I miss my fellow scrap-a-holics.

The second one is a two page layout that I've been putting off for about a week because I couldn't get any inspiration on how to do it--the colors in the pics are all so random. Finally, I picked a pretty pink from Miss Shirlene's shirt and went with it. I love how it turned out. This is of the Dreyer's Neighborhood Ice Cream Party for 100 I won last year with my essay on why our neighborhood is awesome. It was pretty fun, but so warm. We did the party at night as you can see, to get as far away from the heat as possible. Even though the 12 half-gallons of ice cream came in dry ice, they started to melt long before the party was ready. Pictured are some of my neighbors and Ethan there in the center. I took individual pictures of the layouts so you could see the detail if you like (just click on the pic) but having them next to each other, well, you get the idea. It took a long time with all those flowers, but I love the excuse to use them and pink!

I also uploaded a bunch of those cards I made to my etsy account. So far, no luck there. Ahh well, worth a shot, right?
