etsy and blog candy!

Hello blog land,

Just wanted to remind you that I have a little ol lonely etsy shop that is needing some little ol visitors and love! I updated it with a bunch of cards several weeks ago, but so far, nothing new as far as crafty things. Some day. I'd like to alter some notebooks and do some fun americana stuff. Maybe even some beadwork--I'd like to get back into that!

What do you suggest I add to it? What would you like to see on there? Felt Friends are pretty popular right now...that's about the only 'sewing' I can do! =) Thanks for your input.

For everyone who leaves a suggestion in the comments on this post, I'll put your name into a drawing for some Blog Candy! Being as it's almost midnight and I need to get me beauty sleep, I don't have a picture for you yet, but I'll do that in the mornin'. It will include some scrappy rub-ons, primas, and ribbons and maybe some actual candy! =) I'll draw a name next Wednesday the 20th. (US and Canadian readers only please! Sorry foreign friends!)

Go ahead and leave your comment and don't forget to visit my etsy shop. =) *thanks*

****edited to add this picture of what the winner will receive! Random flowers in red, orange, and yellow, two different colors of ribbon, two different sets of rub-ons, and some vintage buttons. Just a mish-mash mix of goodies!

I sure hope we can keep the puppy too. She is the sweetest thing in the world and fully trained, even gives high fives:-). I'm totally down for next Friday and I think I got Heather and Carrie Chowdry too. Yay! I don't know cost wise for you but I think those letters you did (LOVE) were super cute and you could make other words, family, home, cafe, garden, etc.... I'd buy one of those. I requested the Dave Ramsey book at the Library today, I'll talk with ya when it comes in. Have a safe trip.

I know I read sometime that you didn't like to alter stuff. I think you should try to do the altered journals. Did you see the ones that Shanna did for her girls. Those were adorable. I am making one for Katee for our vacation next week. Give that a try.

I think the cards are wonderful. The little denim pocket are great. You should add some easier to do altered items. Like Card keepers or notebooks. They are excellent gifts. Or you could add different type of cards. Packages for b-day's, wedding ect.

Lots of flowers. I love the flowers with the big petals and funky button centers.

The bead idea would be good could you incorporate it in an altered items and or card.? I think Earrings are a great idea w/ the beads. Small school treats kids can give their teachers. Alter flower pots with a stick flower coming out ? I'm sure you'll find something great

I would do altered items also. Maybe like BIG clothes pins, bookmarkers made with large paper clips or cute little jars. But I like everything you have there right now. The denim ones are so cute and original.

What about a card organizer filled with cards?

Hi, After looking at your shop I have a couple suggestions.
1. - I would take the photos with something colorful as the backdrop instead of the mat. Perhaps some greenery or a plain colored fabric.
2. - I would treat the ends of all ribbon with fray check and have crisp cut ends.
It's too bad you can't add some color to the pages with a template or something, do they have that? Your product is darling, wonderful work and great blog.

I am enjoying your blog...your boys are so adorable:) BTW - I think you have a gorgeous singing voice, wish I were able to sing like that! I think your etsy site is great. I suggest that you do holiday & seasonal crafts as these might be good sellers. Since you mentioned that you know how to bead, you might make bracelets. I'm always looking to buy cute crystal bracelets or hairbows for my granddaughters. Best wishes to you.

Great etsy shop. The denim pockets are a cute idea. I'd maybe try and do up lots of cards (like maybe 6). Doing some altered journals, etc would be a great idea too.

Amie we should get together and make some stuff! Like the block words for home decor, DEFINITELY make jewelry with beads... you could do it like Lia Sophia stuff! It is all the rage right now. Love your cards and keep them coming! I am planning on going to the crop at KT on the 6th of July, will you be in town to go?

Hi, cute blog. Your etsy shop is adorable. Love those denim pockets! So cute. Hmm... what about gift sets of cards?? Like a set of baby shower invites, set of thank you notes, etc...

Your blog is very nice and the denim pockets are a great idea. I think that unique items like that are lots of fun. More items like that, inexpensive clever items that make fun gifts are always a hit. Best wishes.

I say more cards. However, do whatever you love and enjoy making. I think that is the most important thing.

Your cards are too cute! I think you are doing fine but just need to do what you are doing in trying to generate more traffic. Good luck!!

I love your shop! I can't think of anything to change. I will be watching for your bead work items. I don't do bead work but would love to learn.

Well, I like you for you - and if I won your way cool scrapping stuff, I would very much appreciate it - but sadly it'd sit with my $5000 worth of other scrap stuff that is very cool, but unused? Maybe when I'm a grandma, I can start it back up?! haa!

Have you started up a treasury on etsy - it's a cool way to show things you like & get more hits on your Etsy store...

I think some little felt additions would be fun!! MAke them in both 3-d and 2d for embellishments!!

I would say do packets of cards, like a set... instead of just one card (if you're going to sell them) :) I'm more inclined to buy a few at a time, as opposed to one. Big spender! :)

I like the idea of journals. With lots of doodling n flowers. Love also little mini books that i can carry in my books, so I can jot down idea when it come to mind.

You are doing a great job with your blog and with Etsy. I have noticed on Ebay that a good seller is scrapbook layouts. Just make a couple fun pages leaving areas for the customer to insert their own photos. Your cards and denim pockets are very nice!

Amie,
I am worried about you and your family! Please let me know you all are okay. I heard from Ginger that you were in an accident this weeekend, we are all very worried for you, your hubby, and boys! We are praying for you!!! Love you!!

Looks like you have gotten some great feedback. Your items are so cute.. Loving the cards. I agree sets of cards are great. Have you thought about invitations like Birthday invites.. The purse card is so cute and think it would be awesome as a little girls birthday party. All the person would need to do is fill in the blacks with the information. Home Decor also seems to be a big seller. Whether it is for the house or office. And lastly.. Have you ever thought doing a mini book... Just leave spots for them to add their pictures..
