For our Family Home Evening Sunday night, we discussed Following Heavenly Father's commandments in order to receive the ultimate prize of Eternal Life with our family. As an object lesson, I made up a Treasure Hunt. We taught the kids that if they followed the clues, they'd receive the ultimate prize of Dessert at the end, lol. Ok, a bit of a stretch, but it was really fun. Sadly, my camera only takes 7 minutes of video (I edited this clip down a bit), so I didn't get the whole hunt, but this video shows the gyst of it. The last few clues took the kids to a bench in my room, the Trouble game in the game closet, the fish tank, and ultimately a carton of chocolate ice cream in the freezer. Later, we made sundaes of which Danny and I did not partake, of course!
