draggin'

Over the past week, several of us have caught headcolds, daycare kiddos included.  My throat's been hurting so bad the last two days I can barely swallow.  And I hate that throat-numbing stuff. . . first of all, it always gets on my tongue (blech) and second of all, it's cherry flavored (double blech), so I just suffer in not-so-silence.

I've been staying up way too late working on Biology stuff (at least 6 hours yesterday and I'm only about halfway thru the lesson, not to mention the actual homework and lab for this week) and scrapping an hour or so a day to reward myself and give myself a break, but man.  I'm tired.  And cold medicine doesn't help.  Even the daytime stuff makes me so groggy.  I'm glad today is a low-key day daycare wise and I don't have to worry about my new little one that cries 75% of the time he is here.

Danny's schedule has been flip-flopping between 11a-11p and 12p-12a so that's annoying for him, and of course the boys seen him naught during the week, and I'm staying up late at night (for Biology sake, but let's not tell him that) so I can see him when he gets home.

Once a week I try to go to the school to volunteer, but I can't stay that long since Danny has to be gone by either 10:30 or 11:30, depending on which shift he's on, so while I really enjoy going to the school, I sure don't feel like I'm doing much.  The teachers seem to appreciate it, but I wish I could do more.

I am staying on top of my housework (mostly, don't look in my bathtubs!) but the kids have been eating lots of frozen pizzas and corn dogs, so their diet is suffering.  They don't seem to be though.

I'm just griping to gripe and complaining to complain.  I'm tired.  LOL!  Nook U is almost over and with that, some of the stress of keeping up and getting all my layouts in on time, but I am grateful for it, it's given me something else to concentrate on besides Biology.  And I'm putting out some really interesting layouts that maybe I wouldn't have done other wise.  So that's fun.

I miss looking at everyone's blogs.  I just don't have the time.  I'll get to you, maybe next semester, but I'll get to you!

And when's the last time I played my piano for fun?  I can't even remember!  Before the boys' school started in August maybe?  I just don't have time, and when I do sit down at the piano, my creativity is gone.  I have 2 half-written songs that I'd really like to do something with, but I feel guilty sitting at the piano when I have hours of Biology calling me.

Like now.  Must go study.

If I don't fall asleep first.

Love ya!!! You'll make it through. I completely understand, I did biology online right before Sophie was born and it was tough. LOL, 2 years later and I don't remember a thing from that class. Something about cells I think ;)

Life is good! As mom's we have to just keep reminding ourselves of that very thing. Cause when mom is sick, tired, and overly busy LIFE IS NOT GOOD for everyone around (at least at my house). So just try to remember Life is good and also never forget they go to bed at night. LOL, keep up the good work!

Wow! I think that is the reason I don't think I'll go back to school. It's too tough. You can do it though. Keep your chin up!
