So here's my long-awaited Cyndi Lauper costume--I had so much fun putting this together with clothing purchased from a 50% off day at Goodwill, along with some jewelry and makeup that's totally reusable.

Danny went as some kind of mad scientist/doctor with blood all over his lab coat.

Sean made the cutest little Harry Potter.  I know I'm biased, but. . . well. . . look!

Cameron had a blast in his blue power ranger outfit.  I'm so glad the 'cheapie' costumes have developed to now having some bulk in the muscles of all these super hero outfits.

At the last minute we had to come up with Woody for Ethan <------- you may remember he was supposed to be Spiderman.  Well, we must have loaned it out to someone because our costume was not in the box with the rest of the Halloween costumes.  Fortunately he just barely fit into this one.  I swear Cameron was 4 or 5 when he dressed up as Woody, but maybe E is taller?  Anyway, he was disappointed for about 8 seconds and then he fully embraced the cowboy in him.  {anyone get that reference to "8 seconds" the movie?  No?  OK, moving on}

So, question for you:  do you let your kiddos reuse their costumes during the year for fun?  Because I never have, figuring we needed to save them for future Halloweens (this year, totally case in point).  But now I have this box full of costumes that were worn once, twice, maybe three times, and I'm a little sad that we didn't get more use out of them.  From the froggy to the cow, Blue's Clues and Capt. Jack Sparrow and more.  I'm sure if they were added to the toy box they'd get ruined quickly.

What do you all do with them?  Ebay?  Craigslist?  Dressup?  Goodwill?  Freecycle to younger cousins?

Happy Halloween everybody.   I'm looking forward to an eve with our friends CC and Mr. DJ and our annual Halloween tradition of watching "Goonies."

"Hey, you guuuuuuys!!"

Be safe out there.

In the past I saved our costumes.. but now that we are down to our youngest, I let her wear them all the time. She loves them, and I defianatly get the moneys worth out of them.

Wow you LOOK HOT!! Love the hair, however I missed the music video. Where did you post that at? Your boys are GREAT! About the costumes, I had a dress up container but every time my boys dressed up our house became a battle ground. I bet my BOYS could have even found some way to corrupt poor Blue's Clue's into some fighting Ninja Dog. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Love the new look Amie. You totally look like her. Great job! I want to see the music video too.

I used to save the costumes, but decided they would never wear them again. They get good use out of them all year long. They dress as superheroes and run around the house all the time with all their buddies. They keep wearing Spiderman. It's gone through Ben, Jaron, and now Noah. I actually had to mend it this year since the older boys wore it when it was way too small. Now Noah wears it all the time and he has little friends that like to try it too.
