12 pictures on the 12th day of the 12th month

Since I haven't really scrapbooked successfully since October {why is that??  I just can't get into it for some reason!} my 12 of 12s have seriously fallen behind.  I've still been taking the required pictures on the 12th of each month, but my layouts are nonexistent.  Oh well...some day.  Maybe with the new year, I'll gain a new resolve to get it going again.  And maybe I'll finally lose that 25 pounds I keep talking about losing.  And all those other aspiring things that I promise I'll do each year.  Cuz, you know.  That's what New Year's is all about:  setting unbelievably high goals that are impossible to achieve making me feel dejected by March when my resolutions have fallen by the wayside.  It's magical that way.

That being said, these pics are actually from the 12th and 13th of December.

Cameron made this project at school today--a paper quilt--I thought it was so clever and really cool.

No, our radio did not get stolen out of our car (although that's happened to us at least 3 times since we've been married, none thank heavens since we've lived here); however our poor little radio had an unfortunate incident with a large glass of cranberry juice just prior to Halloween.  Juice has since been banned from our vehicles.  Even from the adults. Especially from the adults

No, this is the workings of Dan putting in new stereos (in both our vehicles).  Did you know you can not even buy stereos with tape decks any more?  Am I so out of it that I was saddened by this news?  We have several talks on audio tape that we like to listen to on long drives.  Alas, we swapped our tape deck model for one that has an ipod hooker-upper thing (yes, I just said hooker) that I don't understand but will make my husband's life much easier.  So that next time when he wants to change the channel, drive, and drink cranberry juice at the same time (which will be never), we won't end up cleaning sugary juice out of every single nook and cranny on our dash all the live long day.  Amen.

Ethan has a love-hate relationship with school.  Once the bus gets here, he's all for it.  But sometimes getting him up and ready and excited for the day is a challenge.  Hopefully next year when he goes to kindergarten (sob) with the other boys it'll be more exciting for him.

Yep.  He rides the short bus.  He's in special ed preschool for his speech and artic.  It's been a wonderful blessing in our lives and I love it.  I also love the 3 hours of semi-quiet whilst he is away.  But mostly I love that he's speaking so much clearer (that doesn't sound right?) and is able to communicate with us almost at 4.5 year old level.

DSCF7032 My latest musical conquest.  It's a gorgeous song, tough to sing, even harder to play.  I love it.

Our other advent calendar--we just move the angel from number to number each day.  I got that angel ornament when I was but a wee lass.

This is our favorite koolaid combination--lemon lime and fruit punch.  I say 'our favorite' loosely, because I can not stand koolaid.  I think it's disgusting.  But for the 4 boys in the house, koolaid is a major food group.

Long-sleeves, short-sleeves, and swimsuits.  In December.  Eat your heart out Pennsylvania.  ;)  And Oklahoma.  And Montana.  And all you other crazies who live in the snow.

My Sean is getting so big.  He was a big help that night on our family date.

Have ya'll tried this place?  It's fantastic.

The required self-portrait.  I actually like this one.

Some of you are also working on your 12 of 12s...how's that going?

Wow did we get rain over here! Awesome, seriously it rained steadily for 8 hours, a nice light rain that soaked in and didn't flood. Nice!

Thanks for letting me know about my mispelling. It's funny because I never noticed it and don't know how long it's been like that. I feel like such an idiot : )

I love the pictures! The self portrait is great. And we have a Golden Spoon right by our house. When it is warmer it is a frequent stop for FHE treats.

So I was just wondering which thing will make your husbands life much easier? The Ipod hooker-upper thing or just the (hooker)? Sorry bad joke you can totally give this comment the big BOOT. But first know that I love your writing and your short bus thing made me laugh out loud. AND that picture of you made me think that you may just be a Christmas Princess. Love your December 12of12.

Love your 12 of 12. I hope January gives us all a good kick start with scrapping. I don't think I've really scrapped much since August!

If you have a cassette player with an audio-out or headphone jack it's pretty easy to convert your talk tapes to a format that will go on an iPod or a CD with your new computer. I could show you how to do so (without cheating).
