the weekend hike

It was a Saturday morning, the temperature was a lovely 70 degrees, the kids were excited, dressed, and hydrated--a perfect morning for a hike at the White Tanks.

Umm...I was not there. In fact, I had Ethan with me and we were out running errands and getting Dan's school books (and starting to catch a really mean cold) and honestly, I don't even remember what all we were doing, but one thing is for sure, we were not hiking. Cuz that's just not how I roll. It ain't my thang.

Nope, Dan took Sean and Cameron all in the sake of cub scouts to complete a few requirements with several other scouts, siblings, and parents from the ward. From what I heard, there were no major injuries, hardly any squabling, and not one child was left behind. Somehow, I have lost the pictures that Danny took with my camera (that never happens, I'm honestly perplexed) but fortunately Sean also took his camera, so I've got a couple of decent pictures.

The boys had a great time and Dan was glad to have something fun to do with the boys. In fact, he called it "Daddy and the boys' Day of Fun." ;) Someone's a bit jealous that he missed out last week.

I love hiking the white tanks.. You are missing out Girl.. If the boys like hiking, Beaver Creek is another great hike especially during the warmer times cause there is a watering hole you can swim in. Love the pictures...

I am like you not into the hiking so much. But White Tanks is a nice easy hike that was I have to admit enjoyable. Your boy has quite the skills with the camera!

Nothing to do with your wonderful post, but we had so much fun with Deborah and Ben!!!
I went to pick them up and on the way home...I had them in stitches.
Well...to be truthful, Dylan had them in stitches. He was tattling cyber way....ummhhh can't remember Ben's exact words, but he had me laughing!!
I am so glad they came and stayed with me....umhhh when are u coming????? The boys will have to sleep on the floor in sleeping bags, but what fun it would be!!!
They requested no pictures be posted, so i am not going to even blog about their visit, but I had a riot!!!

Oh my goodness! What handsome boys! And such a gorgeous backdrop! I thought stuff like that only existed in MT!

Your favicon looks great! Glad you were able to use my tutorial! I also have a tutorial on how to make a button for your blog here.

I think that is the first time in my entire life of living here, having hiked the WT, that I have seen water in it! Hiking is a lot of fun but not in the middle of summer. Dan picked a good time to go!

I wish I was in the picture of my layout too but not. I have had a couple of weeks where my hip didn't hurt so I was able to sleep through the night(about 2 weeks) but as of this week I am back to hip pain as well as my back hurting so definitely up reading. I am onto the second book! They are so good!!!! Definitely more info in them then the movies. What have you been up to this week?
