I mentioned in Monday's post that during our football party Saturday, the girls and I had scrapbooked the night away. Cameron had asked me repeatedly if he could join us (with his craft box in hand), so I told him that he and I could scrapbook the next day when we had more time and room.
So Sunday, we scrapbooked.
And we scrapbooked.
And we scrapbooked.
By the end of the night, the tally was, Amie: 3, Cameron 14
Here are his works of art. :)
This is my favorite of the bunch, just because he has a pretty good theme going. He used stencils and glitter glue and even drew an eye patch on himself.
I didn't help him at all-I just gave him a stack of paper he could use and then he went to town using his own craft supplies.
His spelling and handwriting are atrocious!! I don't know how to help him with that. The kid reads like crazy, but still, yikes. I think he just needs to slow down and take his time. His homework is often like this too.
Cameron has always been the recipient of pictures I printed but did not need; those I'd made doubles of for whatever reason, or those that didn't make it into the scrapbook or photo album.
I like his themed, hand-drawn art on this one.
In his words, this says "A to Z", and there are basketballs and a basket cut out of felt and foam. . . see it now?
The ironic thing is, I was scrapping some of these pictures at the same time. Cameron taught me there is no such thing as too many googly eyes.
This layout resulted after I handed him a bunch of alpha stickers and thickers that I was done using. (by the way, I LOVE the picture he used here. It's one of my favorites of my kids)
This one's Danny's favorite.
I love how he added the giant S and H on Sean's picture. And then spelled both Sean's first name and our last name wrong.
Another one of my favorites, even though it is riddled with spelling errors. From the top we have a castle, ghost, count dracula (see the cape?? I love it!), a skeleton, rats, vampire bats, a werewolf, zombie, and bat. *giggle*
My boy loves him some glitter glue.
He even used coordinating rain and umbrella themed stickers for this rainy day layout!
A piece of art depicting him making a piece of art. With cut out felt snowflakes to boot.
I have to say I love this one for the trees. :)
Do you let your kids use your art supplies? I found this was a great way of weeding out my stuff and he really enjoyed the process. He is my artsy crafty boy anyway, and whatever he tackles in this area, he really puts his whole heart into it.
I'm sure he'd love some feedback!

I've never been a big fan of scrapbooking but, Cameron, you've changed my mind! I actually carefully looked at every single page he constructed.
AWESOME.
Love it, love it, love it.
"You can never have too many googly eyes."
Amen.

He did such a great job! I think the one of Sean with the big S on his forehead is my favorite.
He has officially scrapbooked more LOs than I have this year!
Good Job Cameron!!!
Ok next crop the challenge is to lift one of Cameron's LOs. It will be fantastic!!!
Love love love them. I am super impressed by the thought and coordination of themes and papers! Way to go!
Super cute! We should include him in the next progressive LO challenge right?!?! I need to use more googly eyes, an embellishment that just gets over looked. Maybe on the Halloween LO................
That's awesome! He did so great! I love the way he labeled everything he drew. So so cute. :)
That is so awesome! I think Morgan and Cameron would get a long great! They both have such artistic talent! I am shocked and impressed with his natural ability to scrapbook! I say that is the perfect mom and son time! You should be as you are, so proud!
Wow, I haven't scrapbooked this as much as Cameron - ever. He did great and put a lot of thought into his pictures and papers. Love the photos he used! Great job, Cameron!
Way to go, Cameron!!! Your pages look great - you have a good eye for being creative.
My favorite is the Halloween one with all the drawings (love your costume too!).
That is a testimony of the power of good paper. What a kid!
Those are great. My favorite is the pirate one too. I love the Halloween one with his drawings, and I love the one with the picture of you and your husband, but he was so focused on MOM...Great job kiddo. Tammi
He is a much better scrapbooker than me! Just one question....Did he wear his safty glasses while working so hard? He's a cutie!
What a wonderful way to spend the day with your children! I have a closet full of scrapbooking materials that are sitting idle waiting for me to turn them in to beautiful pages like your children have done!
Kat :)
I loved this post. You had me laughing pretty hard at "he spelled both first name and last name wrong" I love it!
This is by far one of the sweetest posts you've ever shared. I just love that boy.. and he obviously is VERY loved and portrays it in his art! He is gooooood! :)
He has a future in paper crafting. HE did a fantastic job! I like to get my girls their own supplies and they get out their bags when I do, but I've never given them pictures-I am missing out on a lot!
Serious talent! I am going to scraplift some of that! :) Cyrena's been trying to scrapbook lately as well...but she's nowhere near Cameron!
Looks like he had a great time creating all of those LO's.
So cute!
He did an amazing job..
Great job Cameron! My son Grant likes to scrapbook too. My favorite is the page with the rain on it!
Cameron, you are a better scrapper than me. I love them all!! You are truly gifted with creativity.
