For our Fabulous Friend-Filled Four-day weekend to celebrate the Fourth *smile* we had a BBQ at our friends' house. The carne asada was plentiful (yum) the place was filled with people who care about each other (yay) and the entertainment was hilarious.
Chris had set up a whole bunch of party games taken from the TV show "Minute to Win It". I'd never heard of this before, but it turns out that each task is great for parties because the supplies are all cheap things you can find in your own house. Our group had a blast. Thanks so much Chris and James for putting this on. We really had a great night!
Up first, Fishing. The object: gummy worm on a stick gets licked first to get it wet. Then it's used as a fishing pole to collect pretzels. Once one is reeled in and eaten (without hands) you win!
(I won my round against Dan)
Next up, Ping Pong n' Peanut Butter. The object: bounce ping pong balls from 15 feet away-you have one minute to get a ball to stick on the peanut butter sandwich on the table. So much harder than it looks!
Our group tried.
And tried.
And tried.
And tried, and not a one was successful until Miss Jessica!!
It was so funny! (I didn't even attempt this one!)
Next up, crate paper unroll. Object, be the first to unroll an entire thing of crate paper.
I did not win my heat. And how sad is this-my shoulder was SO SORE the next day! Both mine and Chris's! Ha!
Gotta get in the obligatory self-portrait! :) CHEEEEZE!
Next up, emptying tissue boxes. Notice all the white fluff being caught on camera? You couldn't see those live, just in the pictures. Makes it look like w'e're playing games in a snow storm. Dan did the double box method and finished in less than 40 seconds.
More cheeeeeze!
Next up, the group favorite: booty shake!! Object: get the 8 ping pong balls OUT of the box strapped to your waist. Shake, shimmy, bend over, whatever you gotta do! I wanted to do this one so badly, but my pride wouldn't let me. *giggle* Maybe it I practiced a bit at home first.
This was suuuch a fun night! We had a ton of fun!

AAAAAAHHHHHHH the fourth of July, a magical time of the year in Arizona when the pavement is melting and it's not quite hot enough so we fire up the grill and light off some fireworks to heat it up some more.
