movies at the stadium

DSCF6742

Last Saturday we joined our friends at the city baseball stadium for an outdoor movie and snow cones.  :)  It had been a long time - - so long I can't remember - - since I'd had a snow cone.  The kids are always begging for them at the T-ball and football games; finally Mom gave in.  And I know this isn't a great picture, but just to give you an idea, everyone brings their pillows, blankets and snacks and basically settles in for quasi-sleepover while watching the movie up on the big screen.

The movie was "Monsters Vs Aliens" which I have seen the beginning of approximately 80,000 times.  I always lose interest about half-way through and that night was no exception.  I still couldn't tell you how that movie ends!

But the fun part isn't necessarily the movie, its the togetherness with friends, getting to run around on the stadium grass, laughing and taking pictures and then of course there was a whole lot of this:

Snow Cone Face!!

On a side note, do you remember the last time I posted about Movies at the Stadium night back in April?  Look how big this little one has gotten!

Did they have those movie nights when I lived there? I don't remember them. I could have watched it from my back yard........

I miss movie night at the stadium in Surprise. That was a great town to raise the kids in. Our neighbors have a wonderful back yard where they hang a big screen and invite the neighborhood over for food and movies at least twice a year, so we do enjoy that. What fun! I haven't had a sno-cone in years either!
