Dad selected our Grateful Topic today:
Which we totally did, but it didn't seem right to take pictures of, so . . . just take my word for it. :)
In other happenings of the day, we got to to out and have some fun since the boys were off school and Dan was lucky enough to be off shift for this year's Veteran's Day.
We went out to lunch to my favorite place, Red Robin.
I'm eating atkins-style low-carb right now in this phase of my diet, and although eating out was heavenly, there's just something odd about a burger wrapped in lettuce.
Then we had a little bit of camera fun.
*tee-hee-hee*
Then we went to see the movie MegaMind with Will Ferrell, whom I really like in kid movies but not so much in adult movies.
Anyway, it was totally cute. Like "Despicable Me", it totally goes where you don't expect and was funny too. I recommend it. :)
Course we had to have a bit more camera fun.
Notice there are hardly any pictures of Cameron? It's because he, of all my family, can not take a decent picture to save his life. Even when he's not doing a goofy obnoxious face for the camera, he either looks away just as the camera flashes, or his eyes half close or he looks constipated. Seriously. The kid is just like Chandler from 'Friends'.
Anyway, we had a really nice day together that ended up in a bit of tragedy as one of our ice cream/milk Shakers ended up literally all over the living room. And the couch. And the rug. And the piano. And THEN I caught up on last night's 'Survivor' where my favorite contestant was voted out. Boo.
Oh and I did thank a Vet. :) The gentleman I CNA for is a veteran so I thanked him for his service to our country.
How did you celebrate?

sounds like you had a fun day - glad you could all be together. my sister and niece are here visiting from montana so we spent the day catching up with each other! it was wonderful.
haha, I know what ya mean about the lettuce burger w/out a bun, but it's all worth it indeed. You look fab girl! good job!
Looks like you had a nice Veteran's Day. Matt and I went shopping last night at Kohl's and had a fantastic time. The lady that checked us out is on active duty. She was so helpful, chatty and kind. We thanked her for her service too. I've never had a burger wrapped in lettuce, but hey, ya do what ya gotta do to stay thin and still have fun! Sorry about the shake all over the house...oh well...at least you got to watch Survivor. I still haven't gotten into that one, but I am into The Biggest Loser for the first time ever and have my favorites.
