book review: a jane austen education

I read a book last month made curious simply by reading the title: "A Jane Austen Education: How Six Novels Taught Me about Love, Friendship, and the Things that Really Matter" (yes, quite a mouthful).

A Jane Austen Education: How Six Novels Taught Me About Love, Friendship, and the Things That Really Matter

I was asked to write a review on this book by the good peeps over at the BlogHer Bookclub. Will you go check it out? And you can look at other reviews here as well.

*happy sigh* I love reading!

Persuasion is one of my favorite jane austin books because I identify so well with the heroine Anne in that one. If you haven't read it, I'd highly recommend it. My most favorite is sense and sensibility, again because I identify so well with Elinor, but I also love northanger abbey because Catherine is just funny. I hate mansfield park because Fanny is such a push-over, and marries her cousin-- ew! And I dont like the first half of Emma because she is such a brat. Lady Susan is my least favorite of all-- a bit slutty, especially for that time. And of course, everybody loves pride and prejudice.
