weekly check in

I did work out three times this week, however each work out was completely different. And that's completely OK!

I walked once on my treadmill (reading a book by Stephen R. Covey, "Marriage and Family: Gospel Insights." Whew, his work is NOT light reading!)

I attended a toning and muscle building class at the stake center (I used to do this all the time, then had to stop when my foot starting hurting so badly, and of course now that I have four daycare kids, it's a bit harder to keep track of little ones during the workout and on another note, OW!!!! Oh my gosh, the teacher worked every single muscle group, I swear. I think the only place I am NOT sore is my ear lobes. My chest, arms, abs, and buns are killing me!)

And then on Friday I attended a Yoga class for the first time, also taught at the stake center by my good friend. I'm not sure what to think of this class. I will admit that I did not enjoy it. It was hard, and seriously, I don't think yoga was made for short people. I can barely do the poses and even then, I'm shaking so badly all over the place; it's really embarassing. But, to be fair, this was my first time and should be the worst. (Is that a real word? Worst. Huh...sounds weird) I don't know if I'll be back to that one.

But my eating has just been out of control! It seems that I can't diet and exercise well at the same time. It tends to be one or the other. I've been afraid to get on the scale the last couple of days.

Last night we attended a welcome home party for the little guy (Jared Magno) my sister-in-law's family adopted. It was really fun. There was tons of food. I ate like there was no tomorrow! Mmmm, good stuff! I haven't had nachos in a long time. Anyway, there was a pinata at the party and the kids had so much fun with it. My boys had candy for breakfast because I've been too lazy to go make them something! LOL!

Keep up with the yoga. You will love it in time. You can modify too you know. Ask Petra for a modification.

Hi,

I have just found your blog, from Elsie Flannigan's comments I noticed your name bc it is spelt the same as mine. When I clicked on your name I also saw that you were born in sept. So I thought I would leave a comment and say Hi.

Hello again,

Yes I am addicted to blogging and blog stalking I try and update every few days as I hate it when others don't....I feel like I check everyone's blogs at least everyday!!

No one ever spells my name right either and it is a shock when they do I think I have had about 4 people in my life that haven't known me spell it right.

I haven't seen Elsie's book yet but I just love her blog and how happy she is/seems, & I love her sketches.

I will talk to you again soon
Amie

Heh, I think I like Yoga right away, and it is hard, but I like that I don't feel it until the next day. I went to step today and surprise surprise I was the teacher! I was not prepared at all. I'll teach on Wednesday too and hopefully I'll be more prepared then.
