here baby, there momma, everywhere daddy daddy...

HAIR!

I've been saying since sometime last year (early Dec) that these boys o' mine seriously needed some hair cuttin' going on. I've always done it myself; never once taken them to a salon, and sometimes that works out well and sometimes it doesn't. But, like Danny's grandma says: "What's the difference between a good hair cut and a bad haircut? About 2 weeks." So I never stress it.

They're wiggly and they complain a lot, and we did these on Saturday which was really really warm on the back patio where the sheering was done, so, they are what they are.

They always look so much older after haircuts. And I'm always reminded about how large my younger sons heads are and how thankful I am that I didn't have to give birth to them.

Do you cut your kids' hair or have it professionally done?

I've done both. Usually Jay will take them with him when he goes to the barber shop. they like going there with him. This past haircut, Scott Rork cut it in his garage and both of my boys look fantastic! He did a great job and they seem to hold still and complain less when someone else does it. The barber shop is so expensive too for the little amount of hair that they have.

I have always been the family barber. I've cut my hubby's hair since we were engaged and have always cut both girl's hair. With the exception of one day a few months ago when Ava decided to try cutting it herself. That was a *great* day.....

I've always cut my boys hair. None of my 3 boys have ever been to a barber and Scott hasn't been in at least 5 or 6 years. Now that I have 4 heads to do, it's a big job. Especially when the 4 of them line up and I do them all one after the other. But it's worth the $40 a month I'm saving.

They look so cute! In the summer when we are swimming every day I just buzz the boys head. During the school year he gets his hair cut with his Dad at a barber shop or salon. It is part of their boy bonding days!

I have never had my hair cut at a salon. Not once! My mom has always done it!

I have always cut Ehren and Donovan's hair and usually for the most part cut Morgan's hair but lately she hasn't been taking very good care of it. Letting it get tangled, ripping her brush through it till it is all messed up and broken. Now I need to take her in to a salon so they can figure out what can be done with it to get it healthy again and then I can keep up on it. For myself...I get it done at a salon, enjoy the relaxation and shampoo and don't trust the hubby to do my layers. Can't wait to go to school and get my Cosmo license, then I can do it all.
Isn't it sad how much older they look after a hair cut?! It is definitely tough to see the instant transformation, it just isn't right. They should stay little always!

OH MY GOSH.. I love how they take on different personalities with their hair styles. hehee. I love the cuts myself! You do great! And your boys are just the CUTEST!

My oldest-always had his done at the barber til he was about 14-always had a "military high top". Very cool. From then on I did it. I dont see him much these days, but he always makes sure to get a hair cut before Momma comes around. ehehe.
My middle-always the barber and has a "Princeton" done.
My baby-... he insists on Lek, my husbands personal stylist. Thank goodeness cuz he is a HANDFUL!

I have a 15 month old with a head of hair I would die for. He's already had it cut 4 times, 3 times by me. I just can't see going to a barber as often as he'd need it.

I also cut my boys hair. Their hair grows so darn fast that I would go broke if I had to pay everytime to get it cut. So we have a mass hair cutting day every two weeks so I only have to clean it up once.

I've typically always cut my boys hair...Kris included. I do remember one time, long, long ago! I "messed up" on Kris's hair...I cut a small section just a little too short! I just colored it in with an eyeliner pencil for about a week and it looked great. :o) Can I just say he LOVES me because I'm still allowed to cut his hair! lol
