50 1st graders and me

Cameron's 1st grade class went for a walking field trip yesterday from the school to the library. Parents were encouraged to come and help so I packed up my daycare darlin', a stroller, and my neighbor for company and we set off.

It's not a super long walk, and the weather was perfect (around 60 degrees), so it was quite enjoyable. But after a long day of walking to and fro, the time with the 1st graders at the park, library, and lunch, I was pretty worn out by the time I came home. Cameron ran circles around us, literally! All I can say is, my son's teacher is an angel for agreeing to do this. An angel!

The rest of the day I was hittin' the books, studying the skeleton this week, and memorizing the 206 bones in the body. I just about have it down. The killer is also learning all the markings on each--each with around 5 things each to memorize. I'm boycotting. Who needs to know that? Why am I doing this to myself? ;)

This weekend promises to be another busy one, including a yard sale, cross fit, a baby blessing, and a post-Valentine's dinner and dance with Chris' ward.

I may boycott it all in favor for sleep this weekend.

Ahhhhhh yes, sleep! If don't get my 10 hours a night, watch out! I get, wait what do you call me? snarky? Don't know what that Amie-ism means, but it's probably what I am if I don't get enough sleep! By the way, if Deborah had written down our Grand Canyon Trip experience, I think we would have won the M&M's constest. But neither one of us wanted to sit down and type out the 18 pages
necessary to tell about the hell that trip was.......

Miss Amie - don't boycott my blessing! My mommy has worked hard all week to perfect the zero fat all the flavor cupcake and frosting combo so that you and her can enjoy all the yummy flavors of dessert. Plus you get first dibs at snuggle time and since we'll not be at a restaurant I'll actually be awake =>

I always have a small amount of sympathy for the groups I see walking with the kids... Mostly beacause I feel their pain. Literally, I did it two years ago. I tagged you. Go to my blog.

I vote boycott it all for sleep! There is nothing worse than waking up on Monday morning more tired than you were on Friday!

Okay...don't boycott the baby blessing (but you get to ditch your sacrament legally if you went to someone elses! ;D so it is a wash!)

Wishing you strength for the rest of this week as you get through it. And yes, first graders and kindergartners are exhausting. I taught for 5 years before staying home with my own. :)
