We love attending the LDS Easter Pageant out in Mesa each year. And each year my pictures pretty much look the same. The kids just get a little older. :)
We pulled the kids out of school a little early in order to go save seats for the fam. We got there at around 2, set up shop, sun-screened up, and just tried to keep busy for the next 6 hours. I did homework and other reading while Dan took the boys around to the visitor's center and to Dairy Queen for some refreshment. The best way to stay cool.
Next I took the kids around the temple grounds for some fun and colorful shots. It's a great place for family pictures because of all the foliage and fountains.
I got married in that building. :)
How come my flower gardens refuse to grow so well?!
Speaking of marriage I saw 3 brides come and go while we were on the temple grounds. I thought this gal's dress was so cute all frilly and poofy.
Hello there.
Here's a very abbreviated view of the hundreds (thousands?) of chairs set up for the pageant on the lawn. We were in the 6th row way up front in the middle.
Dinner time!
Then we took a bunch of pics with several of the cast members walking around.
This is Adam. (and you'll notice the puppy in just about every Ethan shot)
My camera didn't do as well as I'd hoped--or rather, I still have no clue how to take long distance and/or night shots--so these blurry few are the best I got.
As always, a great experience. Anyone want to go with us next year?

i think those shots are pretty good. the only blury one is the second to last with the crowd of people.
You took great pic's. But I still can't do the night pic's with my camera and I have had my camera for a while now. ):
The newly wed couple in your picture is a close family friend to us. What a small world. He is from Coolidge and the Wedding reception Helena was talking about in her blog the other day was there wedding reception.
The pagent looks like you had fun. Maybe we should go next year.
They would not mind. I am sure they would take it as a compliment.
